Amanita Regalis is related to Amanita muscaria. Anecdotally, it is a more energetic, equally powerful – if not stronger – version of Amanita Muscaria.

Description

Amanita regalis, commonly known as the royal agaric mushroom or Swedish royal amanita, is a species of fungus in the Amanitaceae family. Common in the Scandinavian countries, it is also found in eastern and northern Europe. In North America, its distribution is limited to Alaska. The fruiting bodies of the fungus somewhat resemble the classic Amanita (Amanita muscaria) – it formerly considered a variety of this species. Chemical analysis has shown that this species contains muscimol, the same psychoactive compound found in A. muscaria. Anecdotal reports indicate that it is more energetic and active than the classic Amanita. In mushroom-loving circles, Amanita Muscaria is considered the “Indica” of agaric mushrooms and Regalis the “Sativa”. Both of the aforementioned species are less active than Amanita Pantherina – the most potent psychoactive mushrooms of the agaric class.
