Mitragyna Hirsuta is an Asian plant that belongs to the same "family" as Kratom (Mitragyna Speciosa). Along with Mitragyna Javanica, it is one of the best herbal alternatives to Kratom. It is mostly used by those who want to taper off Kratom or at the same time with Kratom and Javanica in a 1:1:1 ratio to enhance the relaxing effects of green or red varieties of Kratom. Some choose to combine smaller amounts of Hirsuta with white Kratom strains to promote euphoria.
Mitragyna hirsuta shows somewhat similar effects to the red Kratom strains. Physical and mental relaxation and pain relief are among the most important benefits associated with Mitragyna hirsuta.
Mitragyna hirsuta is much stronger than many other kratom alternatives, but seems to fall short of Kratom itself. This is probably due to the lack of mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, the two alkaloids primarily responsible for kratom's effects.
Mitraphylline, the main alkaloid found in Mitragyna hirsuta, has many similar properties to these two alkaloids. It provides similar benefits, albeit in a much less intense manner.
Anecdotal reports suggest that Mitragyna Hirsuta has milder effects compared to Kratom – but these effects last longer. Mitragyna hirsuta is often used as a Kratom booster as well as on its own. As with Kratom, M. hirsuta is euphoric and relaxes the body and mind at higher doses while slightly stimulating at lower doses. In addition, Hirsuta appears to induce a mildly positive state of mind, relieving anxiety, stress and depression as well as helping to relieve physical pain.
