Thinly sliced shoots of the legendary B.Caapi. The strains of this "variety" come from Peru. These are rare botanical specimens of the Achuar tribe. For the natives of the Achuar tribe, these plant strains are known for their special properties. They are used only by curanderos (healers who use the power of herbs) or by the shaman of the tribe himself in certain rituals.
The climbing Banisteriopsis Caapi grows naturally in the wild rainforests of Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. When fully mature, its size can exceed 30 meters! Usually the plant blooms in January – its flowers feature beautiful shades of white and pink. B. caapi is considered the plant of the gods by the natives of the Amazon. The history of its use by indigenous tribes is as old and primordial as the stories of their existence. Myths, beliefs, traditions, rituals – the mythical effects of the plant have rightly made it one of the most talked about plants in human history.
