PROLOGUE

“My introduction to medicinal plants transformed my health and my life, enhanced and expanded my spiritual practices through a deep connection with the Earth. It has changed my life for the better, in the most delightful ways. I feel eternally grateful. "

Robin Rose Bennett
Herbalist / Writer / Green witch

This phrase by RR Bennett beautifully sums up my deep appreciation and gratitude for some of Mother Nature's countless gifts to humanity.

Their contribution to my inner vision in life, to my physical and mental / spiritual health, is invaluable! Ethos Herbals is essentially a "higher purpose" for me. This goal focuses on helping other people discover sustainable ways to improve their quality of life, as I do with my own.

I started my contact with ethnobotany in 2015. Richard Evans Schultes, the "father" of this science had simply explained the term:

"Ethnobotany is simply... the discovery of plants used by societies in different parts of the world."

This is a fascinating scientific field - I personally think I will never stop finding it deeply interesting. I am convinced that through the use of herbs we cultivate symbiotic relationships that can prove to be extremely beneficial for our physical and mental health.

The primary goal is to provide quality herbal samples and their extracts - they are herbs that I have discovered have helped me have a better quality of life sustainable and long-term. Some of the herbs we provide are grown in Greece, others are grown in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa. In some cases we work with Greek producers, in others we work with suppliers who have shown that they respect both the ecosystem and the local communities that produce the plants.

Maintaining ethical fair trade practices for our professional collaborations, respect for you and honest communication are our absolute priorities. Hence the name of this project - Ethos.

Providing quality herbs is part of the process. Another equally important part that involves you much more actively is a deeper understanding of the use of these plants that have proven valuable and beneficial to millions of people in every corner of the earth for centuries or even millennia. I provide you with the knowledge that has emerged through years of study and empirical testing. You learn that you may find it interesting and bring the knowledge to your measures, based on your special needs.

I am always at your disposal for any questions you may have about what you will read on EthosHerbals.com/Wiki. In addition to information about herbs, I will also be uploading articles regarding practices that promote physical and mental well-being that may or may not be indirectly related to their use.
